Application Brochures

PRO IMAGE is a single component urethane for hardwood floors designed to be applied over Pro Floor Stains or Pro Sealer.

IMPORTANT: Record moisture meter readings in several places before applying stain or sealer on the raw floor. These readings will provide a benchmark at later stages to determine when the floor is dry enough to apply another coat.

OVER GENERAL FINISHES PRO FLOOR STAINS:
Allow stains to dry 2 to 3 hours @ 70° / 70% humidity or until the moisture meter readings return to their original numbers.

OVER GENERAL FINISHES PRO SEALER:
Allow Pro Sealer to dry for 2 to 3 hours or until the moisture meter readings return to their original numbers. Then buff with Maroon Pad and 240 grit sandpaper strips, a 3M Hi Pro Pad, or equivalent. Vacuum all dust from floor. Tack rag with water dampened towels.

OVER OIL BASE STAINS:
Allow oil based stains to dry 24 to 48 hours or twice as long as the manufacture recommends. Always test for adhesion.

APPLICATION: Apply with T-Bar and mohair cover at a rate of 500-600 sq.ft. per gallon. Two coats are recommended. If applying the second coat within six hours, buffing is not required. If applying after six hours, buff with maroon pad and 220 strips. Vacuum off all dust and apply second coat.

APPLICATION TIPS: If conditions are dry and warm, restrict the amount of air flow. Also increase the application rate and block direct sunlight by closing shades or blinds.

RE-COATING EXISTING FLOORS: Clean all wax, grease, and oils; then buff finish with maroon pad and 240 strips. Vacuum all dust and apply 1 or 2 coats of Pro Image.

DRY TIMES: 2 to 3 hours under ideal conditions (70° / 70% humidity). The best method for judging dryness accurately is to use moisture meter readings.

CURE TIME: Floor may be used socks only in six hours, furniture in three days, and rugs in ten days. Be careful during the first ten days as the finish is more susceptible to scratching and scuff marks.  Place heavy furniture on carpet pads.

CLEAN UP: Soap and water.

STORAGE: Keep from freezing.

SHELF LIFE: 1 year in unopened container.

VOC: less 250 grams per liter
