According to the EPA "Volatile organic compounds (VOC) means any compound of carbon, excluding carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, carbonic acid, metallic carbides or carbonates, and ammonium carbonate, which participates in atmospheric photochemical reactions." These carbon-containing chemicals that are labeled volatile because they easily become gases that enter the atmosphere. They include both human-made and naturally occurring chemical compounds produced by plant and animal processes.
Water-based Dye Stains penetrate deep into the wood to beautifully magnify the grain. This low VOC stain will provide your project with more depth and color vibrancy than any other wood stain.

Enduro Professional Water-Base Sanding Sealer is a clear undercoat with strong adhesion properties that forms an easily sandable foundation for your project. This fast-drying pre-catalyzed sealer is designed as a basecoat for General Finishes topcoats.
Water-Based Pre-Stain Conditioner is a formula similar to our water-based stains without the colorant. Before applying a water-based wood stain, use General Finishes Pre-Stain Conditioner Natural to control blotching on hard-to-stain woods, such as maple, pine, and cherry.
Water-based products do not last forever, even when unopened. General Finishes products are best used within 1 year of the manufacture date listed on the bottom of the can. The life of the product may be extended to 2-3 years with proper care and storage.
Dye Stain Reducer is the clear base we use when manufacturing General Finishes Dye Stain and can be used to make custom Dye Stain colors and for toning.
