Wood Turners Finish by Robert Greenberg

I turned a segmented pen to see how well the finish would fill.  It exceeded my expectation. It was so much easier to apply and finish then the CA finish I have been using and the big bonus if I didn't have to deal with the fumes.

Yesterday I turned a pen using tulipwood.  The ease in applying the finish was amazing.  Six light coats, no raised grain and the finish was so good that I didn't even have to buff it.

3 Bowls fiished with Enduro-Var

Turned Bowls with Endurovar

Attached is a picture of three bowls that I finished with General Finishes "Enduro-Var" water based urethane - semi-gloss. The bowl wood, from bottom to top is:  spalted maple, ash, ginko. Next time that I buy the "Enduro-Var" will be "flat" sheen. I am not a fan of the semi-gloss. It makes the finish look "synthetic" or plastic. I use polishing compounds to remove any surface imperfections and the surface becomes very smooth. I believe that the finish is very durable and strong and builds up very nicely. The ginko bowl surface is much stronger with the finish on.

Exotic Woods Goblets with Salad Bowl Finish

From JC Newcombe of Newcombe and Associates

Attached are some pictures of some of the things I make and use your
finish on. When it works right the finish is superb and I have had lots of
compliments on the finish and requests for what I use. I always carry a can
to show them when they ask.
