Helen Nichole Designs is General Finishes July 2016 Blogger of the Month!

Helen says, "Buying a new house and wanting to find a budget friendly way to decorate is where my love of painting furniture all started. Almost six years ago we moved to St. Louis and I spent too many hours searching the internet for design ideas. I learned all about this world of painting old furniture and it quickly became a hobby. Over time, that hobby slowly grew into painting pieces for other people which later became Helen Nichole Designs.

Helen Nichole Designs grew into a brick and mortar where I sell my painted pieces of furniture, vintage finds, and handmade items from candles, soaps, jewelry, baby items, stationary..... the list goes on! When I first started my business, I was painting furniture out of my garage. I never would have dreamed I would be doing what I get to do today.

I've been married for almost a decade and we have two daughters. Owning a business is hard and I feel like I am always working but when I get family time, we like to make the most of it."

We asked Helen what she loves about GF:

"There are so many things I love about General Finishes! I think my absolute favorite thing is the quality and durability of the Milk Paint. When people see my painted pieces they always ask if I use a paint sprayer. I'm a brush and roller kind of gal but the finish and self-leveling quality is what makes my pieces look so perfect. I love this brand of paint!"
