Terri Blau of Arizona attended a Sweet-Stops' milk painting class to learn finishing techniques by Tattered Nest {Vintage Marketplace} and Burlap And Brushes. They provided the materials and showed some examples of pieces they have done at their store. Terri bought General Finishes Java Gel Stain and transformed her dated oak hutch in her living room.
She says, "It really was great to work with. I put on vinyl disposable gloves and then an inside out athletic sock and went to town. I put on two coats of the stain and then two coats of the water based polyurethane - very little smell! I was so excited to find an easy way to unify these miscellaneous pieces."
We think Terri did an amazing job! Thanks to the folks at Sweet-Stops, Tattered Nest, and our General Finishes retailer, Burlap and Brushes for letting us share this project with you! Check them out if you're in Arizona.
