It's Woodworker Wednesday and we're in love with the gorgeous work of Aleksandra Zee, woodworker and installation artist! Aleksandra uses repurposed wood and materials to create small, intricate art pieces and large-scale wood installations inspired by the natural world and Native American textile designs.
She shares, "That is what I love most about what I do: I disappear into my craft. I believe in being present and letting the work and pattern and color flow out in front of me. I go in with an idea and let the rest come naturally... I find myself gravitating to natural color hues and designs that I have brought back with me from antique Native American textiles that I fell madly in love with."
