General Finishes is proud and honored to be featured in the August 2015 issue of Woodworker's Journal. Michael Dresdner, a nationally known finishing expert, highlights the advantagous of GF water based products in his article (below) titled "Water Based Coatings".
"Water-based coatings are becoming more popular, and there are good reasons why. Manufacturers have kept what was good but fixed a host of old problems.
We love that this innovative company, Delta Mill Works in Austin, TX, uses our Enduro Conversion Varnish in their projects. They like its clarity, and the soft look it provides, along with the incredible strength and durability.
We love all things Jason Bedre! One of his chairs, "Curvis Sedis II," is particularly memorable. It's got complex joinery of interlocking dovetails, as well as spline dovetails, a covered seat that's tapered to the edge, and a frame made of bent laminations. "It was a real test of seeing how far I could go, and push the limits of what I could do, to make it. I was sort of challenging myself, I guess," Jason said. This was Jason's entry in the Texas Furniture Makers Show in 2012 - beauty in every detail!.
